Taking a blog break

Closed for Xmas

One way or another December has been a hectic month. The few times I have found myself at my keyboard, fingers poised and ready to write, nothing happens. I just kind of sit there and stare at the screen. It’s an odd feeling, but not entirely unexpected. Over the past few weeks I feel like I have been running on empty.

So I’ve decided to take a short blogging break over Christmas and new year. During that time I intend to cook and eat and drink and relax. I’ll catch up with some good books, catch some cool films and generally not do much.

I will also be coming up with a new look for The Grubworm (I can’t not do anything). I’ll be back on the 9th January 2012, all recharged and chomping at the bit to get started. Have a wonderful Christmas, New Year, Solstice or just plain winter break everyone! I’ll see you next year.

Very sensible – I know that feeling well. But do come back! Always enjoy your posts. Ed

I know that feeling, I need to recharge somewhat as well. Work has been mental. Off for three weeks though on Thursday Oz then Thailand. I’m hoping I can find some inspiration when I’m over there!

I’ve spent many a time sitting staring at the computer screen over the last few weeks too – rather strange given that having just moved country, I would have thought I’d have an awful lot to say.
Have a relaxing break and look forward to reading you soon.

Have a good rest! I’m taking a breather too. Sometimes you need to step away from the blog for its own good!

Merry Christmas to you and Mrs – look forward to the new look and more great posts x

@Ed – I will be sure to, and thanks!

@Paul – Can you feel the envy glowing off your screen ;) Two great foodie destinations, I’m sure they will stuffed full of inspiration. And noodles.

@Thursday – it’s funny how what, on the surface of things, should inspire writing, so often exhausts instead. We are moving as well, although not quite the distance you have, and I am sure that is part of what has been draining me. The inspiration will come for you though, I’m sure of that. Have a good break yourself.

@Mr Noodles – thanks, you certainly do. Sometimes a little space and distance does the world of good

@Leluu – thanks! Merry Xmas to you too :)
