@meemalee – it was really good. Almost as good as The Gunmakers steak sarnie… Wibbly is a technical foodie term and is most underused I reckon.

@Kavey – yes, you must. It;s lovely, esp in the summer when they open up the front.

@Mr Noodles – it was very tasty and the steak was indeed a highlight, particularly with that American wine. As the wine is as much the point of the food, i thought i ought to at least try. Plus we put some effort into choosing it so i wanted to do it justice. You shouldn’t write off rose – none of this super sweet stuff here, this was delicate, dryly elegant and almost a pale orange in colour. Lovely stuff.

Shame about the poached egg as a bit of runny yolk would’ve gone down a treat with the morcilla. Other than that it looks and sounds like a great meal especially the bloody steak.

Also good to see a few words on the vino, as I often there should be more about the wines on the blog reviews. That said, I’m no fan of rose!

@Louise – thanks! We had a really good night. It’s just round the corner from where I work, so i hope i’ll be back soon

@Mary-Rose – it really is very good. Now if only they took bookings for dinner…

@Greedy Diva – it is fantastic – the wines are brilliant, the food a great match The only real problem – the aforementioned lack of evening booking. It’s what stops me coming here more often. That said, i would love to try out one of the tastings as soon as finances allow.
