Either my memory is playing nostalgic tricks, or they've just got worse over time. Entirely, and depressingly, possible in my experience of chains, big or small. Oh well, c'est la vie. To add insult to injury, 12.5% service charge is added to the total bill which I thought was unusual for a burger bar. Don't be tempted by The Diner, it is equally forgettable.
